From a search engines point a view, the more pages you have the better as search engines rank a site based on keywords and on frequency of updates. When Google displays the results, each result is a link back to single page. The more pages you have the more likely one of your pages is related to the search term entered. If you have a small website with less than 10 pages then you’ll have a hard time ranking higher in the search engine results than a web site of your competitor that has more content.

A site without a CMS is called a static website. We would not recommend that you opt for this older website format. A static site is one which you cannot manage yourself and all changes need to be done by your web designer. These are generally cheaper than a CMS website but as you pay for updates they can often cost you more. The other cost is the fact that static sites don’t do very well in the Search Engines (because they have fewer pages and are updated less frequently) therefore you won’t rank as high as your competitors and you get less visitors, thus less enquiries and less sales.
